Description

As the city gets set for summer, Belfast is playing host to some magnificent ships that have sailed the high seas at the Belfast Titanic Maritime Festival, 25-27 May. The festival will celebrate the city’s unique maritime heritage alongside Titanic activities that will include tours, talks, exhibitions and drama as well as family friendly entertainment and music throughout the three days.

Ships on display include Pelican of London and the Gulden Leeuw, which docks in Belfast for the first time. In addition to this, there are lots of family friendly fun events and activities taking place including a Maritime Treasure Trail, Face Painting, Balloon Modelling, a Photographic exhibition, Fun Workshops, Laserquest, Kids Games Zone, Pirate Island Dancing, Caricaturist, Street Theatre shows, Street Theatre Walkabout Characters, a Giant Inflatable Whale with Pirate Storytelling, Titanic Talks, Come and Try Water Activities and Pirate Re-Enactments.

Due to high winds the vessels involved in the pirate re-enactments will be delayed enroute to Belfast; the displays will not take place on Saturday and ships will endeavour to dock on Sunday.
