Concert Halls

Ulster HallThe performing arts are alive and well and living in Belfast. We have produced more than our fair share of successful talented performers to prove the point. This year we celebrated the reopening of the much loved Grand Dame of Bedford Street, the Ulster Hall, after a multi-million pound restoration project. Together with the Waterfront Hall and the Grand Opera House the city will have all its jewels replaced and sparkling providing venues for comedy, drama, musicals, opera, ballet and classical music.

The tradition of excellence in choral and classical music is typified by Northern Ireland’s Professional Symphony Orchestra, the Ulster Orchestra, famed for their superb collective playing and invigorating approach to classical music.Their 40 year place in the cultural life of Belfast is maintained through a packed concert schedule which includes Proms in the Park, Opera in the Park and the ever-popular St Patrick’s Day concert.
