Odeon BelfastBelfast is a cinema city; the cinemas are always well attended and people know movies. And from that specialist knowledge follows appreciation, enjoyment and analysis. From family outings to the latest Hollywood blockbuster to the latest Pedro Almodóvar, movie lovers will find something showing in Belfast to tempt and intrigue whether at the Queen’s Film Theatre (QFT) or the MovieHouse.

Look out for two highly acclaimed festivals too; the Belfast Film Festival in March, and Cinemagic, the world’s leading children’s film festival in December. Check out Belfast’s growing indigenous film industry through regular screenings throughout the city. There’s an increasing interest in producing films in the city due to interesting locations, excellent facilities and generous support and talented local companies have recently worked with Tim Robbins, Matthew MacFadyen, Donald Sutherland, Neil Jordan and Richard Attenborough.
