Live Music Bars

Kitchen Bar musiciansMusic is an integral part of life in Belfast and live music is a feature of many pubs and taverns. A number of hostelries feature regular music programmes on specific nights.

The Middle floor of Lavery's Bar and Gin Palace is home to the Bunker. Various touring and local bands play throughout the week with music ranging across every genre. On the other hand Hatfield House is a traditional Irish Bar and has recently been restored to its former glory, with original bar fixtures, ornate ceilings and lavish craftsmanship carried out by the same craftsmen who worked on HMS Titanic.

Every Thursday Jude's Bar offers a great variety of live music featuring rock and soul classics though the decades. And yet another contrast is The Empire located in a converted church in the heart of Belfast; it boasts the city's most diverse offering of entertainment. Regular gigs include the Comedy Club, Blues Club and Supper Club; in fact there is entertainment 7 nights a week.

Situated in the heart of Belfast's burgeoning Cathedral Quarter, The Front Page offers a mouth-watering weekday programme of music from a wide spectrum of live bands on the local circuit. The fabulous live lounge at The Kings Head is also a place worth checking out  featuring the best of Irish and British live artists every Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.
