McHughs is within a grade A listed building, built between 1710 and 1720, making it officially the oldest building in the city of Belfast, enjoying a long history and a sometimes colourful reputation. Built in the thriving dock area of Belfast under the gaze of the Albert Clock, McHughs has been restored as an integral piece of Belfast's past for Belfast's future. The new McHughs is a combination of the old McHughs building and it's end of terrace neighbour Du-Barry's.

McHughs is open all day, every day, offering a traditional feel in contemporary surroundings filled with examples of the best local art and artefacts. The Main Bar is the perfect place to enjoy drinks with friends, socialise, meet people and mingle in a lively atmosphere.

Food is available Monday - Saturday 12:00 - 10pm Sunday 12:00 - 9:00pm

The spacious basement bar plays host to live bands and DJs Thursday-Saturday. Private parties can be catered for during the week- call for info.
