Complete with a 25-metre competition pool, diving pool, fun filled leisure pool, GymTech 2000 Health and Fitness Suite, Studio 2000 Dance Studio, multi purpose main hall and excellent conferencing facilities, the Lagan Valley LeisurePlex offers one of the most extensive facilities in the United Kingdom.
The 25 metre competition pool has eight lanes and three diving boards which can be used in the diving pool – 1 metre, 3 metre and 5 metre. A 300 seater viewing gallery is incorporated into the competition pool and diving pool arena. Both pools have submersible floors which can be raised and lowered for use by children, beginners and disabled swimmers. The Lagan Valley LeisurePlex has also hosted the Irish Swimming Championships, for the past three consecutive years, the only facility, outside the Republic of Ireland to host the event.
Since it opened its doors to the public in October 1999, the GymTech 2000 Health and Fitness Suite has firmly established itself as one of the premier fitness facilities in Northern Ireland.
Using a split-level design, the Fitness Suite is equipped with over 50 cardiovascular and resistance machines, including joggers, rowers, cycles and cross trainers and also offers a comprehensive free weights area and fitness testing service. Air conditioning, music television and chilled water will also be on hand to make feeling the burn more bearable.
And what better way to unwind after an intensive training session than to relax at the complex's ground floor Health Suite? With a spa pool, saunas, steam room and a relaxation area, the Health Suite is definitely worth a visit from those looking relaxation and pampering.
