Located within a mile of Belfast city centre, Ormeau Golf Club is one of the oldest golf clubs in Ireland. The clubhouse, together with the nine-hole course, is situated on mature tree-covered parkland which was once part of the Ormeau demesne belonging to the Marquis of Donegall. The club has occupied the property, by agreement with the council, since the early 1890s.
