while Rockmount Golf Club to the south of the city sports superb
views of the famous Mourne mountains on a good day.
Hilton Templepatrick Golf
Club, just down the road from Belfast International Airport and
nearby Lisburn Golf Course are both considered superb parkland
courses in easy reach of the city. Beyond Belfast, Northern
Ireland’s famous golf courses of Royal County Down and Royal
Portrush are recognised as two of the finest links courses in the
world.

Located within a mile of Belfast city centre, Ormeau Golf Club is one of the oldest golf clubs in Ireland. The clubhouse, together with the nine-hole course, is situated on mature tree-covered parkland which was once part of the Ormeau demesne belonging to the Marquis of Donegall. The club has occupied the property, by agreement with the council, since the early 1890s.

The present Ballydrain site is the club’s fourth home since it was founded in 1895, and now complete with a 27-hole facility.
