Types of Ships

Class A: All square-rigged vessels and all other vessels over 40m length overall.

Class B: Traditionally rigged vessel with a length overall of less than 40m but with a waterline l ength of at least 9.14m.

Class C: Modern rigged vessels which do not carry spinnaker-like sails. A length overall of less than 40m, with a waterline length of at least 9.14m.

Class D: Modern rigged vessels carrying spinnaker-like sails. A length overall of less than 40m, with a waterline length of at least 9.14m.
