Please see below for details of registering for press passes, media
centre hours and press events / photocalls

Media Centre Press passes and opening
hours

The Media centre will be located at the Millennium Room at the
Odyssey complex.
The media centre will be manned at the following times: -
Friday 14th
August
12 noon to 7pm
Saturday 15th
August
10am to 7pm
Sunday 16th
August
10am to 2pm
As each member of the media arrives their evidence is assessed –
either National Union of Journalists or Press Photographers
Association accreditation.
Once cleared they will be issued with a press badge. A
record will be kept of each press pass and number in the case of
possible misuse.
The press will be given an event guide, details of where
official events are taking place, eg Official Launch and they will
be asked if they need to interview any specific people from the
Board / organisers / funders. Happening staff will attempt to
facilitate this where possible.
Press are to be advised that they may be asked to show further
accreditation by the ships to gain entry at times when the ships
are not open to the public or to by-pass the queues for access.
Your pass will also give you access to W5 and their Wind, Wings
and Waves Exhibition.
For photographers commissioned by BCC we will have available
parental consent forms for future use of photographs by the Council
and other partners.
We will have full press packs and electronic access for
forwarding to sub editors.
We will also operate from the Media Centre issuing any new
releases over the course of the Festival.
There will be a daily media briefing with one of the captains
and a trainee from the Tall Ships Atlantic Challenge. This will
also include a summary of highlights of activities on the day.

Corporation Square to Queens Quay
FRIDAY 14 - 7pm – Tall Ships Atlantic
Challenge Prize Giving in Odyssey Arena
SATURDAY 15 – 11am – press
call on board the Atlantis
SUNDAY 16 – noon - ships
begin undocking for Parade of Sail which commences at 2pm. It
is anticipated that it will take approximately 1 hour for all the
Tall Ships to leave the Harbour.
