For those who like to sample some natural wonders, start off at Antrim Lough Shore Park on the shores of Lough Neagh, the largest fresh water lake in the British Isles. While away a few hours enjoying a picnic, climb aboard for a boat trip on the Lough or just saunter along the river pathways, taking in the fantastic views.

If bygone times interest you, then you’ll not be disappointed by the variety of heritage sites, ranging from the medieval Round Tower in Antrim town, built around the 10th Century and one of the finest of its kind in Ireland, to the 13th Century Church and Holy Well at Cranfield near Toomebridge. The impressive 17th Century water gardens, within Antrim Castle Gardens are one of the earliest of their kind in the British Isles and contain many exceptional features including a unique parterre. The Gardens also house Clotworthy Arts Centre, where outstanding culture is on offer for everyone to enjoy.

For an activity-based holiday, some of the finest sporting and leisure activities in Northern Ireland are on offer. The ultra modern Antrim Forum complex offers a wide range of sports including swimming, basketball, tennis or badminton. Younger children can also enter a whole new world of discovery in the “Caveman Capers” Soft Play area with its ladders, ball pool and slides. It’s a real adventure!
