Lisburn
Plenty to offer
Set in the beautiful Lagan Valley, and awarded city status in
2002, you’ll be amazed how much Lisburn has to offer. The Lagan
Valley Regional Park incorporates impressive links to the past
including the Giant’s Ring, Duneight Motte and Bailey and the Lagan
Canal.
Popular attraction
Lisburn city centre still retains many architectural buildings
and streets dating from the 18th century but it is also a lively
bustling modern city offering first class leisure facilities,
shopping and eating; you’ll be spoilt for choice with the newly
extended Bow Street Mall and Lisburn Square where the weekly
markets are held. The Irish Linen Centre and Lisburn Museum is a
popular visitor attraction where you can learn about the city’s
linen heritage, and try your skills at spinning and weaving. For
lovers of the arts, the Island Arts Centre offers the best of UK
and international touring theatre, dance and live music.
