Membership Terms & Conditions
Terms & Conditions:
Belfast Visitor and Convention Bureau is a professional
organisation interested in working with and promoting like minded
companies and businesses that adhere to a high standard of service
and professionalism. In order to ensure that we achieve this, we
require our members to subscribe to the following terms and
conditions.
- Belfast Visitor and Convention Bureau expect all members to
maintain the highest standards of service and professionalism at
all times and to enhance the reputation of Belfast as a tourist
destination.
- All members must complete a database questionnaire each year in
order to appear in annual Bureau publications.
- All accommodation premises must have a current certificate
issued by the Northern Ireland Tourist Board.
- Accommodation premises that fail to have their NITB certificate
of renewal will automatically be removed from membership. The
accommodation premises must have a current certificate before it is
eligible to re-apply for membership.
- Hotels, Guesthouses and Self-catering establishments will be
listed under star classification as awarded by the Northern Ireland
Tourist Board.
- All Professional Conference Organisers will be required to meet
minimum criteria as outlined by the Convention Bureau. (PCO
Guidelines)
- All sightseeing tour companies and ground handlers must comply
with the necessary statutory requirements for each of their sectors
as specified by the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Northern Ireland
Road Transport Licensing Division.
- All organisations offering Bureau de Change facilities must
comply with the British Bankers Association Banking
Code.
- Organisations accepted into membership of BVCB will be notified
in writing.
- Membership of BVCB is not transferable.
- BVCB reserves the right not to accept organisations into
membership which do not meet NITB standards.
- BVCB reserves the right to expel from membership any
organisation which fails to comply with these standards.
- It is the policy of BVCB not to make refunds on membership
subscriptions.

Members are automatically invoiced for
membership renewal on an annual basis.

Any member wishing to cancel their BVCB
membership must do so in writing, giving no less than 30 days
notice prior to their next renewal date.

Members who fail to settle their accounts with
BVCB within the stated 30 days of invoice date will have membership
benefits suspended until payment is received.

BVCB reserve the right to levy interest
on overdue balances as stated in the terms and
conditions.
